Scholarships are available to high school seniors who have been members of Credit Union of Richmond for at least six months and actively use Credit Union services.

Scholarship awards range from $500 to $2,500.

**Membership with Credit Union of Richmond is required.

The 2027 scholarships may be used toward education at an accredited college, technical school, or trade school.

Applicant Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

•  A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50, with no less than a 2.25 GPA in the academic areas of English, Science, Math, and Social Studies for grades 9–11.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong interest in extracurricular activities and community service organizations.
•  Outstanding citizenship qualities that demonstrate loyalty, trustworthiness, integrity, and concern for the well-being of others.
• A completed 2027 Ben Wilson Scholarship Application.
• A 400–500 word essay describing the applicant’s future goals and how the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” is reflected in their life.
• An official transcript must accompany each application. Applications submitted without an official transcript will not be considered for the scholarship.

Scholarship winners will be notified by August 31, 2027, via email, phone, or mail.

Please submit your completed application, transcript, and essay by July 30, 2027.

Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
