Serving our members’ needs and protecting their personal information are one of our top priorities for Credit Union of Richmond (referenced herein as "Credit Union of Richmond," "we," "us" or "our").

For purposes of this Policy, "online" means utilization of an internet communication protocol to view, display, access, receive or transmit information. This Policy covers all our online practices, including, but not limited to our website, our Online Banking service, and our Mobile Banking Application (Mobile App). Although cookies do not reveal your identity, the credit union use cookies to help us verify our members' identities prior to granting access to our secure online banking system. As a security enhancement, our servers are not directly connected to the Internet. The data that is transmitted to and from the server must first pass through a firewall. A firewall is a hardware or software device that monitors network traffic and blocks inappropriate connections to other computers on a network.

Any email that you send us may not be secure unless you utilize one of our secure online services. Therefore, please do not send us confidential information such as Social Security or account numbers through an unsecured email. If you provide us identifying information in an Email (e.g., name and address), this information will only be used to communicate with you and to handle your request. We will not sell or transfer this information to other parties. Credit Union of Richmond does not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from our website about minors nor do we market any services to them.

We may also use Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting cookies to analyze trends, administer the website, track members’ or users’ movements while using the website. We may also gather aggregated demographic information. Credit Union of Richmond may also contract with third-party companies who use cookies to measure the performance of a marketing effort on our behalf.
